Testimonials from Groote Eylandt Community

Love the work! seems to be a great talking point and a subject for discussion n make people take the time to talk about how they feel about the concept, Should be a great addition to the spirit of the community…..Gary

The whole community got to watch the evolution of the solider and his dog, which not only brought people together and strengthened connections in the community but will be a shared memory for many years to come.He is a symbol of solidarity for the island…   Rebecca Clarke

Been on Groote for 4 weeks. In the time I’ve had the most amazing experience to see the work of a chainsaw wielding artist transform a fallen tree into an amazing Anzac tribute. Day by Day Cut by cut to art,  Great job Matt! …..Craig Hudson

A magnificent piece of workmanship. Symbolic & appropriately positioned. Congratulations! Andrew Trail. Harbour Master…. Groote Eylandt.
